President Joe Biden Describes Shooting of Donald Trump As ‘Sick’
A gunman shot former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally today in western Pennsylvania. The bullet grazed Trump’s right ear which was bleeding, and Secret Service agents formed a shield around him as they ushered him into an armored car. Agents shot and killed the gunman. A spectator was also shot and killed, and two others were shot and critically wounded.
President Joe Biden, who is facing Trump in the upcoming presidential election, addressed the nation.
“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence,” Biden said. “It is sick.
Shortly after the shooting, the Republican presidential nominee issued a statement on Truth Social.

As Trump supporters left the rally, some talked about what they had seen.
A supporter named Tracy said, “President Trump was up there and within five minutes we heard, ‘Pop, pop, pop.’ Somebody behind us was killed. How is this happening in our country today? Why?”
She added, “This shows you how much hate and hostility are in our world today. We need to all come together as a human race and help each other out.”
President Biden has said he will call Trump to check on his injury and well-being.
