Arkansas Juneteenth Celebration Includes Tribute to Lynching Victim

At the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, staff wrapped up the week by adding the final touches to the weekend-long Juneteenth celebration. The festivities include a ceremony honoring John Carter, who was lynched in 1927. Mosaic’s director, Christina Shutt, talked with TheVillageCelebration about the significance of Juneteenth.
