50 Years Later at Mason Temple
Dignitaries and legends from the Civil Rights Movement are in Memphis tonight to commemorate the 50 years after Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination.
On April 3, 1968, hours before an assassin silenced Dr. King, the young preacher spoke at Mason Temple and delivered one of his most famous speeches, “I Have Been to the Mountaintop.”
